December 2008: A Quick “Hello” from your new “The Towers” Editorial Team
An editorial team for “The Towers” newsletter is now in place and eager to get going. We've promptly started work on a newsletter to come out at the beginning of January.
We're hoping to move towards a system in which many, if not most, articles and news items are submittted electronically - this will ease the job of main editor, Ed Cooney. However, please do not hesitate to give us information even if you're not an “email person”. This is your church newsletter and everyone is invited and encouraged to contribute.
We'd like to give you information about how and when to submit your articles and news items:

• from January 2009 onwards the submissions deadline will consistently be 3rd Thursday of the month
• where possible, please send your news item to this email address: newsletter@twintowersumc.org
• format of news items/articles -
  • please provide your info. as unformatted text if possible i.e. in the body of an email or in a file with .txt format
  • alternatively, if you need to submit your article as an attachment (e.g. because you have graphics that are integral to the submission) please use the general purpose "rich text format" i.e. an .rtf file
• we have no particular requirements for photo formats, .jpg files from a digital camera would be fine, for example.

The editorial team is hoping to have input about upcoming events, ministries, Christian education opportunities, committees and other groups activities and news of those brothers and sisters in Christ who can't be with us at Sunday services. We're especially concerned to have input from the Church Council, as this group is the central decision-making body of TTUMC, and it would be really informative and interesting for the whole congregation to be familiarized with what's currently being considered.
